Rocky Balboa

Way better than the Rocky Statue in Philly, Newark, Delaware has our very own Rocky... :)

Good times

Some things Aidan has said to us lately...

(While I was in the bathroom)
"Mommy, what you doin in potty?
(Me- "Pooping!")
"Oh, I like poop!"

(After a good game of tag)
"I need some animal cookies and raisins cuz I did all that runnin."

"Mommy can I have 2 snacks because you're my best friend"
(Two minutes later...)
"Mommy can I watch 2 shows before my nap because I so love you much"

Gavin also knows how to have a good time... When his aunts came to visit, Gavin wanted to show him how tough he already is! So he got right to fixing Aidan's car carrier. :)

Anyone with kids will understand this game... It's Aidan's favorite.
"Swiper no swiping!

Gavin had so much fun by himself the next morning that he literally jumped himself to sleep!

Aidan's new favorite game with Daddy is to make, decorate and then fly paper airplanes

And in Gavin's sparetime, he prefers to catch up on his People magazine. He especially liked this issue, which featured Halle Berry's daughter, Nahla. Good taste already, Gav!

Feeling the love this year

So I made a Valentine with my valentines. :)

Always a story before night night

Somewhere Deep in Bear Country
Lives the Berenstain Bear Family
They're Kind of Fury Around the Torso
They're a Lot Like People Only More So
Bear Fact is That They're Just Like You and Me
The Only Difference is They Live in a Tree
The Berenstain Bears
When Things Go Wrong As Things Might Do
The Bearenstains Bears Will Find a Way Through
Mama, Papa, Sister and Brother
They'll Always Be There For Each Other
Bear Fact is That They Can Be Sweet as Honey
Sometimes You'll Find They Can Be Just Plain Funny
The Bearenstain Bears
The Bearenstain Bears!

5 months!

Our smiley, content chunka munka. :) Oh how we love him so! Happy 5 months, Gavin Patrick.

Baby laughter

There is nothing better.

Fat Lip Jingle Bells

Brotherly Love

There are no words that adequately express the joy and happiness witnessing the innate love between these two young brothers gives me as their mother... I am in awe of them each and every day.

A picture speaks a 1000 words...

The "Christmas Gardens"

This year's trip to Longwood Gardens was magical... extremely cold... but magical nonetheless.

We decided to make it an every-other-year tradition when we took Aidan the year he was born. At that time, it was the Truitts and Calveys, with a 9 month old Aidan and a pregnant Nicole. This year, Josie. 18 months, joined us for the fun... And Gavin, 4.5 months, was Daddy's little koala bear along for the evening.. Sarah also brought her Billy, 32.5 years old, and he may have had the best time of them all. :)

Make a wish in the fountain, Jos!
Special Daddy time
The Brazills are great stand-in parents!
Aidan loves his Donald Duck. :)

I love this.
Is that a Lily, or a Truitt?
Beautiful flowers, beautiful family.
Oh Christmas Tree!
Look what I found in the woods
Such a gentleman... Aidan insisted on holding the door open for the long line of people behind us!
Could have taken thousands of pictures of the beauty that is Longwood, but this one will have to suffice!
Aidan loves his Aunt Sarah, too. :)
Papa Bear and our Koala Bear
Daddy did shave off his bear beard a few weeks after this photo..
The big kids.
See? Best stand-ins, ever!
Smitten. On both accounts.
What better representation of joy is there than "throw-your-head-back laughter"??

I wonder what new baby will be joining us for Longwood Gardens, 2012?? ;-) Stay tuned, and stay classy!
