Aidan's Bathtime Christmas Carol

Well, he gets a little stuck, combines a few songs, and says some words wrong, but I still think it's the cutest thing ever. :)

Christmas.

Counting our blessings, this special day and always. We are so grateful to have each other, and each one of you in our lives! Wishing you all nothing but health, happiness and joy in the New Year.
Christmas Eve storytime with Grandma!
She recorded her own singing to Frosty the Snowman, Aidan's favorite. <3

Early Christmas morning. He sees Santa's crumbs and his note, along with all of his presents! The magic of Christmas....
Christmas morning! Gavin is already finding fun ways of playing with the presents. :)
It's Christmas, who says I can't have a cookie (or 3) for breakfast?!
Merry and Bright.

Christmastime at the Calveys

There is just something about the tradition of "decking the halls" that brings me such warmth and comfort. Even though I am an adult, enjoying this tradition with my husband and children, each year I still decorate with my own childhood memories at the top of my mind... Wrapping the picture frames with my Mom, blowdrying the needles on our fake tree to unclump them with my Dad ;-), decorating the tree with my Mom and sister, and arranging and rearranging the nativity scene in competition with Alli. :O) I can't help but wonder what memories my boys will have when they grow up...

Here is what our home felt like this holiday season. <3

Santa Clause CAME to town!

This was the first year that Aidan 100% loved every minute he had with Santa. No running away, crying, or acting shy towards him. It was so cool to see, but also bittersweet because it is a sign of just how big he is getting! Gavin, on the other hand, followed in his big brother's earlier footsteps and really would have been fine having never met the man. :)

Santa got me just what I wanted!
No thank you!!

Annual tree hunt

Another year with our ICS Family at Schmidt's Tree Farm!
Last year, Gavin slept the entire "hunt" in his stroller. Not this year! He was an active participant the entire morning.

BFFs =o) Angie, Megan and Mandy
Cheese! Aidan, Riley and Jack.
A giggly twosome. Aubrey and Aidan
Standing proud and tall in front of the reindeer!
The coolest part of coming here.

Weekend in Plainsboro

We had a great fall weekend visiting Allison and Amanda at their home. It had been a long time since our family has gotten up there and it was so nice to spend some quality time together! The weekend also made me realize that our poor sons have been deprived of a time-honored Fall tradition... making leaf piles and jumping in them! Since our neighborhood is not even 4 years old, our trees are so small that we have virtually no leaves around here. Aidan especially had a blast playing in the leaves at his aunts' house. And all that outside fun made for some great pictures, too- so enjoy!

 Sissy leaf fight!
