Outside Fun

Gavin is loving the ability to keep up a little bit better with Aidan these days. Now that he is big enough to ride with Aidan in his truck and go in the smaller cars (instead of the stroller), there is no stopping our little bruiser! Here are some pictures of outside fun with our big boys.

Pit stop...Boys will be boys, right??

Gavin celebrates the BIG ONE

No mean girls were going to ruin our little prince's birthday, not even one as nasty as IRENE!
Our outdoor BBQ with 40 guests turned into an indoor celebration with 20 family and friends, thanks to the timing of the hurricane. But our laid back boy enjoyed himself immensely, and tore up his cake better than any storm could!

Here are some highlights from our fun night, celebrating the sweetest little 1 year old anyone could ask for.

Just woke up, to a party. :)

Cousins!

Well it IS his birthday...

Hubby Gone Wild

Well, Kevin's job as director unfortunately has only gotten more stressful as the year has gone on, not less like we had hoped. I believe the following video and pictures are a testament to this... The guy needs to let loose more than ever before!

What a difference a year makes

Gavin Patrick- One year ago.

It seems like just yesterday you were in mommy's belly, and your big brother was giving you hugs and kisses from the outside. Now we have a year of joyful memories as we've witnessed your amazing entry into this world and the super cool toddler you've become. We love you more and more each day, and can not imagine our family without you in it.

"Sometimes", said Pooh, "the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

No Adults Allowed?

Daddy made the boys a clubhouse out of a big box a few months ago and they have been enjoying it ever since!

Aunt Alli and Gavin peeking out of their house

Yes. Aidan shoved his godmother and all his cars and his beachball into the clubhouse. Doesn't his expression say it all??

Somehow this box has fit Pops, Aidan and Leah!

The first day.

Ohio here we come!

In the beginning of August, Gavin went on his first flight, Aidan on his second, to visit the Calveys on Lake Erie. GrandmaMarie, Aunt Eileen and the rest of the gang never met our youngest Calvey! And the last time they saw Aidan, he was just a little older than his little brother. SO it was a much anticipated family reunion, and we had a short, but sweet visit with our Irish family. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed jet skiing on the bay, and fun times on the lake. We caught up with our relatives and just enjoyed some quality time together. Next time we will stay longer, it went by way too fast!

11 months and counting!

July 29, 2011
11 is heaven. :)
Happy 11 months to our big boy, who decided to end the month with his first steps!
As Aidan would say, "Yaaayyy for Gavin!"

Life's a Beach

We had the best week on our family vacation in Bethany this year.

Gavin is a total water baby, and Aidan had a blast getting to ride his bike in his first 4th of July parade (the same one his mommy rode in when she was a little girl!) We rode rides and played games at Funland, played in the ocean and built sand castles on the beach, enjoyed multiple ice cream trips, played mini-golf, went on a pirate ship, watched fireworks and more! Plus, we got quality time with Grammy DJ, AND Grandma & Grandpa even came down for a day.

Here are a few highlights from our week at the beach.

When we returned from vacation, Aidan was really spent, so Daddy treated him to his first massage. Enjoy this short video of this occasion. :)
