Family Tradition
One tradition our little family started a few years ago was to always vacation in Bethany the week of July 4th. It never disappoints. We also grew our family while there for this week and a half... by 2 hermit crabs that is! Too many good times to recount, but we loved the loved ones who joined us this year. :) DJ, Pops, Angie, Jason, Jack, Grandma, Grandpa and Alli all popped in throughout our time at the beach. Wish we could stay all summer!! There is nothing as good as life at the beach. <3
Memorial Day Weekend
Why did I start this post with this video, you ask? Besides the fact it's one of my favorite songs.. :)... it's because we have our very own beach boys, Aidan and Gavin. They LOVE the beach, and so do their parents! So needless to say, we had a blast kicking off summer in Bethany with DJ, Alli and Amanda.
"On the beach, you can live in bliss."
Another round of Aidanisms
"Do you know there are dinosaurs on the beach? Yeah, there are little ones called pterodactyl babies." (Me: Oh, where'd you learn that?)
"I just maked it up."
(Pointing at the Easter Bunny at the mall, I asked Aidan who that was)...
"Easter God!"
(Aidan, what did you have for dinner?)
"I had lastovers."
(After Gavin ran away from Aidan crying hysterically)...
"He's a crankasaurus."
"Mommy, I remember when I was in your belly. It was dark in there. I kept coming to the edges and bonking my head."
(To Gavin: re: a toy)
"Yeah, that's for Daddy to fix. Sorry, babes."
(Looking at me...) "I called him babes."
"Mommy, did you know that x-rays, bones and blood are scientists? ... Was that important?"
"I just maked it up."

Dirty 30
The time has come, folks... After 8 years of dance classes, 9 years of piano lessons, 9 years of Girl Scouts, 5 records in highschool track and cross-country, 17 years of Catholic schooling, 11 years of kissing just one man, 6.5 years of marriage, 2 children, and 28 years of not wearing a diaper... I have finally entered my 30s. :)
Here are some highlights from the amazeballs *surprise* 30th birthday party my lovely hubby threw me at Aqua de Sol. I had the best time! Thanks again to everyone who helped to make my big day so special. I did not have even one moment of disbelief or lamenting of leaving my 20s because of all of you. Life is good, and the number on my birth certificate has nothing to do with that... all of you do. <3
