It really is about the little things...
So Aidan and I got in the car this morning to go grocery shopping- it was 17 degrees. As I was about to pull out of the driveway, I heard Aidan asking "what's that" over and over again. I turned around to see him pointing to his breath, staring quizzically at the white air that was flying around his mouth. So I explained to him what he was seeing and ended my lovely explanation by asking, "isn't that neat?". He agreed, looked at his cold breath and smiled, saying "neat!". I couldn't help but start laughing as I witnessed my innocent son experiencing this for the first time, something I never think about like so many things in life. So he started laughing with me, and we sat there in the drive way for another few minutes watching his breath and laughing together. Getting to see him fascinated by this was a highlight of my week.. If only I could live in that simplistic, appreciative world every moment of every day! Words cannot express how grateful I am for getting to experience these moments through the eyes of my toddler boy...
