Happy Halloween!

From our ghosts to yours. :)

Trick or Treat

We had a beautiful October 31st this year, and our Pooh family had a great evening walking around with neighbors. Aidan couldn't have been more excited, and Gavin quickly learned what he was supposed to do!

Skipping to the next house!

Piglet and Peter Pan

Pooh and Eeyore :)
For a toddler who can't eat candy, he sure went to town!

Enjoy these short videos of both of our boys, each shaking their booty in their own way. ;-)

4th Annual Calvey Costume Party

A great time was had by all at this year's costume party. We had 2 competing batman dads, superheroes galore, Little Bo Peep and the Pooh Family to name a few. The kids had fun trying their hardest to break open a bat pinata full of goodies, and they even got to "trick or treat" to the upstairs bedrooms.  It's always so fun to eat, drink and be merry at any occasion, but Halloween seems to bring out the kids in all of us, which is why this is one tradition we will never break.

Idle...Wild!

One lovely weekend in October, we ventured up to Buehler's Idlewild Inn in Paupack - Poconos with our SJU family. Check it out at www.buehlersidlewild.com

We took over the whole place, thanks to Leslie's family opening up their tradition to us. This weekend was truly good for our soul... Getting to spend quality time with those we just don't get enough with... Watching all our children play together and become their own little family... Not to mention the fact we didn't need to cook or clean one thing, and enjoyed our traditional sing-alongs as well as the great outdoors.

It really couldn't have been better. Here's to the start of a new tradition!

Autumn Aidanisms

(Carrie) "Are you taking his temperature?"
(Aidan) "No, I'm take his 'aahhh.'"

"Yeah, I'm not taller than Daddy. It takes awhile ago to get big."

"Am I still the handsomest when I quit you?"

(Aidan) "Can  I have a Star Wars Party?"
(Carrie) "What's Star Wars?"
(Aidan) "It gets bad guys."

Upon arriving at the pond to feed the ducks, only to discover there were no ducks there...
"I guess feeding the ducks wasn't a very good idea... They went on a birdcation."

(Kevin) "Aidan, do you want to build a clubhouse?"
(Aidan) "Mommy, can I build a clubhouse with Daddy?"
(Kevin) "Aidan, you don't have to ask Mommy."
(Aidan) "Mommy, do you mind if I don't ask you?"

"Santa doesn't talk to no one because he is magical."

Upon arriving at the dinosaur museum...
"Are we at the librarium?"

(Carrie) "I was waiting for your 'please,' where are your manners?"
(Aidan) "Um, God took them."

The best...sleeper?

Gavin never slept his first 7 months of life. Since he grew out of that, he has literally been the best sleeper in the world. He goes down for naps no problem. He sleeps from 8pm-7:30am most days of the week. He never cries, and he wakes up with a smile. One day I thought I heard something in his room, a long time after I put him down for a nap. Curious, I peeked in, and this is what I saw. :)
